Hi Demi, I was just wondering what is your opinion was on Raf Simon's appointment as creative director of Dior. Do you think he is a good fit and do you think it is a good creative direction given the current volatility of the industry as a whole?

I’m just glad they finally made a decision. If we can’t have Galliano and his theatrics back then why not? I think Raf has the ability to make Dior more commercially viable but hopefully his collections for the house will inspire too. Next season will be very interesting..

A documentary series broacast back in 1993. This episode documents the stressful ready-to-wear and couture shows that happen in the main fashion centers multiple times a year. It’s interesting to see how the industry has changed (photographers placement, the height of the supermodel era, less accessibility for the public, Karl’s appearance) and hasn’t changed (the fashion hierarchy, influence of certain figures, PR). Definitely well-worth watching.
